Leading fast food chain McDonalds is to start hosting wedding and engagement parties in a number of its Hong Kong restaurants from January next year.

Available to wedding parties with between 50 and 100 guests, McDonalds will even supply a wedding cake made of apple pies.

Unfortunately guests will only be able to toast the happy with soft drinks rather than champagne as the restaurants aren’t licenced.

According to McDonald’s Hong Kong director of corporate communications and relations Helen Cheung, the chain are already receiving around 10 calls a month from couples who want to have their reception under the Golden Arches.

Couples will need to supply their own registrar and it’s unclear whether it’ll be possible to hire Ronald McDonald to make a guest appearance.

As well as weddings, you’ll also be able to celebreate anniversaries, birthdays and other special occasions.
