You’ve heard of the golfing widow no doubt, but have you ever heard of the golfing bride? In one rather unusual wedding recently golf was very much the theme of the wedding table plan.

Golf flagNormally it isn’t recommended to number your tables as it tends to imply a hierarchy, but as this particular couple were golfing enthusiasts, and met as members of the same golf club, they decided that they simply had to number their tables, from 1 to 18!

Each table had a flag pole in the centre with a red flag on it, with the number of the ‘hole’ or table. The wedding table plan chart displayed by the entrance was made to look just like a golf course, with the bar being labelled as the 19th hole!

The top table was the first tee, with the numbers going all round the room. They even had green table cloths for each of the tables, making them look even more like the green areas around the holes.

Naturally puns were in abundant supply, particularly throughout the Best Man’s speech during which he suggested the Groom had achieved a minor miracle, having managed to score a birdie despite having the handicap of a small putter.
