Comic Book and Superhero Wedding Seating Plans

Bright colours and fun filled images are perfect for adding a little light humour to any wedding reception. Whether you design your entire wedding seating plan based on comic book superheroes, or just add a little comic book fun to your décor, we have plenty of Marvel-ous ideas to get you started.

Table plans and escort cards

A great talking point, this couple have used superhero pez dispensers to make escort cards that double up as favours.

Guests’ knowledge of cartoon superheroes is tested in this escort card display. Each guest’s name has a question underneath, the answer to which gives them their table name – ‘Find the one who became the fastest man alive after a lightening chemical explosion?’

This simple table plan has used the logo for each superhero as a title for each table.

Cuttings of romantic and wedding scenes from graphic novels and comics make the backdrop for this very creative and striking wedding seating plan.

The prize for the most unusual comic book themed wedding seating plan, however, must go to the couple who created a most extraordinary three dimensional seating plan (see photo above). Tables were named after classic comic book phrases such as ‘ZAP’, ‘POW’ and ‘ZING’. Photos of each guest have been attached to the table names with wire, resulting in a 3D creation somewhat reminiscent of a crazy comic book molecular structure!

Table names

As mentioned above, there are lots of famous comic book catchphrases that make quiry and humorous names. In addition to those we have already mentioned, there is also ‘ZOINK’, ‘KABOOM’ or ‘VROOM’ to name but a few.

This couple chose their favourite comic book superheroes, such as WonderWoman, The Hulk and Iron Man to name their tables. The table names were in bright comic book style, with short descriptions of each character. Table décor and favours

If you are feeling creative, these comic strip inspired floating candle table centrepieces look fairly straightforward to make, either using glass paints or, as in this example, using laminated details from comic books.

Using bright primary colours typical of a comic book palette, this table setting is simple and full of fun. Our Pinterest board also shows some closer shots of the bride and groom’s settings.

This welcome table, complete with escort cards, is set in front of a great comic chalkboard design, adding a great artistic flavour to the décor.
