A Finger Lickin’ Good Wedding Table Plan!
Who needs a lavish location, posh nosh and a complicated wedding table plan when you could opt for something much simpler? That’s what Bristol bride and groom Kalli Buchan and Gareth Pritchard decided when they booked their post wedding celebrations at the local KFC! Diners at the nearby KFC were amazed to see the wedding party in all their finery, and many stopped to congratulate the newly weds.
At the top table, the wedding table plan included 25 year old Kalli’s mother and father, who had unwittingly established this unusual family wedding tradition by holding their reception at McDonalds back in 1989.
Staff at the Bristol KFC were keen to help Kalli and Gareth fulfil their unconventional reception dream, and were delighted that they had been chosen for such an important occasion. The bride and groom invited 30 guests to sample Colonel Sander’s fine KFC dining, some of whom must have admitted to thinking it a rather wacky idea. The happy couple admitted to initially suggesting the zany scheme as a joke, but then deciding that actually it was a very ‘cool idea’.
However, I can’t help but think that in these times of austerity and recession, what better way to celebrate in style than to organise a knees up in an unassuming, fun and unusual venue that will have people talking about and remembering your special day for years to come.
